Despite its “No Comment” stance on the Gerry Lougheed Junior situation, the Greater Sudbury Police Services Board has been dogged by complaints and questions from the public and the media.

During the meeting last night, Vice Chair Frances Calderelli addressed the matter and says it remains with the Ontario Civilian Police Commission.

No charges have been laid, however Lougheed is being investigated for alleged bribery linked to the Sudbury by-election and would-be Liberal candidate Andrew Olivier who says he was offered a job or appointment to withdraw his candidacy.

Lougheed is the Chair of Police Services Board and the board says he will remain Chair until the various investigations conclude.
