Solo music?!? Already? Zayn, we thought you were taking a break?… Zayn Malik’s, formerly of One Direction, has put out his first piece of solo material on the web. U.K. producer Naughty Boy posted a track on Soundcloud yesterday called “I Won’t Mind – Zayn Naughty Demo.” The song is a mellow folk-inspired track.
Also, things got nasty on-line. Naughty Boy shared the track shortly after he got into a Twitter spat with One Direction member Louis Tomlinson, who felt the producer was bragging about working with Malik. “Wow @NaughtyBoyMusic you’re so inconsiderate pal, seriously how f**king old are you?” Tomlinson tweeted. One Direction fans showed their support by making #SuspendNaughtyBoy a trending hashtag worldwide.

Unlike other streaming services, Tidal will have no free version. Rather, it will have two subscription tiers defined by audio quality: $10 a month for a compressed format (the standard on most digital outlets) and $20 for CD-quality streams.

***You gotta give credit to The Biebs!!*** Justin Bieber gamely endured both hilarious and uncomfortable jokes on last night’s Comedy Central’s Roast of Justin Bieber. Martha Stewart told the pop star that she was there to give him advice for when he inevitably ended up in prison. She also flirtatiously suggested that he find himself a woman who is “a playa in the boardroom and a freak in the bedroom” before encouraging him to call her. Other highlights included host Kevin Hart noting that Bieber had both the voice and driving skills of Stevie Wonder, comedian Natasha Leggero calling Selena Gomez the most unlucky Selena in the history of music and comedian Hannibal Buress joking that he hates Bieber’s music “more than Bill Cosby hates my comedy.”
