The investigation into the discovery of a human skull in the Donovan continues.

Police have handed things over to the coroner’s office after determining that the skull is not linked to any recent criminal activity.

Police were called to 725 Bruce Avenue Sunday night after a woman found the partial skull in a wooded area near her home.

Meantime, the coroner says it could take up to a year to make an identification since it’s believed the skull may have been in the bush anywhere from 5 to 10 years or even as long as 100 years.
