The provincial government is investing in palliative and end of life care across Ontario and that means Maison Vale Hospice will receive 150 thousand dollars.

The funds will be broken down into an extra 15 thousand dollars per bed at the local hospice.

Executive Director, Leo Therrien says the funding is important in making the finals days for someone the best they can be.

Therrien says this will also allow them to look more towards what they want the future of the hospice to look like.

Sudbury MPP Glenn Thibeault says funding like this will keep the important facility going well into the future.

Hospice services across the province will receive 13.9 million dollars over a three year period.

The local hospice is a free service providing end of life care, supported by donations, volunteers and government.
