One Dead In Highway 17 Collision

OPP are still investigating a collision on Highway 17 at Southview Drive that killed an 80-year old woman from southern Ontario.

Officers say just after 3 pm on Friday a van attempted to cross Highway 17 northbound on Southview Drive when a eastbound Ford pick up truck struck the van broadside.

The 80-year old driver of the van was taken to hospital but died of her injuries.

The driver of the pick up was not injured but the female passenger was treated for minor injuries.

OPP continue to investigate.
