A reported, 80 people (a number that is expected to rise) have been killed after a truck ran through a crowd of people during a Bastille Day celebration in Nice, France.

Witnesses have said that the truck appeared to accelerate as it drove into the crowd. In a nationwide address, French President Francois Hollande called this a terrorist attack. This comes just six months after the deadly bombings in Paris.

Reaction has been swift and widespread with everyone from Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to Amy Schumer offering their thoughts and prayers to the victims and to France.

I loved my time in France. I'm so sorry to all the people affected by today's cowardly act in Nice.
