It’s been two months since the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history, and Pulse nightclub survivor Tony Marrero is talking about the night when his life forever changed.

As part of MTV’s documentary “True Life: We Are Orlando”, 30 year old Marrero wanted to share the message that regardless of how hard he struggled in the beginning “I keep going” and “Never give up. It was a big tragedy, but you have to move forward. I want to help people to understand that.”

Marrero says life is too short and you must be willing to talk about your issues, “When you’re having problems, you can’t keep that bottled up because it will eat you alive,” he said. “In my case, the way I cope is to talk about it.”

“Tomorrow you don’t know what’s going to happen,” he said. “Tell your best friend you love them. I lost my best friend, and I’m still dealing with it. I couldn’t go to his funeral because I was still in the hospital. Life is short. You need to appreciate everybody. You need to say I love you, be more open. Love is the best medicine.”

“I have all these people sending me their love, people all over the world,” he said. “That’s how I keep recovering, keeping a positive mind. I did the episode so people could identify with me.”
The June 12 shooting in Orlando at Pulse nightclub left 49 dead and more than 50 injured.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have gotten into an epic war of words after the former chastised fans for slamming his new relationship with Lionel Richie’s underage daughter Sofia. Yesterday, Bieber threatened to make his Instagram account private, telling followers, “If you guys are really fans, you wouldn’t be so mean to people I like.”Selena then blasted the Biebs by commenting, “If you can’t handle the hate, then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol…Don’t be mad at your fans.” Bieber responded by blasting Gomez right back. “It’s funny to see people that used me for attention and still try to point the finger this way,” he wrote. “Sad. All love.” Us Weekly reports that Gomez then mocked his words by writing in a since-deleted comment, “Funny how the ones that cheated multiple times are pointing the finger at the ones that were forgiving and supportive, no wonder fans are mad. Sad. All love.” Not to be outdone, Bieber reportedly unfollowed Gomez on Instagram before accusing her of cheating on him with Zayn Malik.
