Greater Sudbury Police says the driver was not at fault in a collision with a pedestrian on Monday afternoon.

Around 2 pm an elderly woman was hit on Notre Dame Avenue at King Street while crossing the road in her scooter, she was taken to hospital in critical condition.

Police say surveillance video from the scene shows the driver was within the posted speed limit and had the right of way at the intersection at the time of the collision.

There will be no charges laid at this time.
