The province is making it easier for people to make informed and healthy choices.

Starting January 1st Ontario will be the first province in Canada to require food service providers to include calorie counts for each food and beverage item on their menu, labels or tags.

Any food service provider with 20 or more locations in the province will have to do.

That includes restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores, grocery stores and movie theatres.
