Another year and another record in ticket sales for the local Canadian Hard of Hearing Association as over 71 thousand tickets were sold in their Ultimate Dream Home Draw.

Executive Director, Kim Scott estimates it raised between 400 and 500 thousand dollars which stays for services in Northeastern Ontario.

Scott says hearing loss is one of the country’s most common health concerns and effects thousands in the north.

She says it’s due to the large industry sector in the north.

The money stays up north and goes towards equipment, programs and services.

Last year 68 thousand tickets were sold and the year before that 63 thousand.

Karen Beaulieu of Greater Sudbury was the winner of the grand prize.
