Mother's Day: Celebrity Moms & Doppelganger Daughters

Ava Phillippe is more than her mother’s daughter, she is Reese Witherspoon’s doppelganger! The 17-year-old is the spitting image of her mother, and it’s hard to tell who’s who in the above photo. If you’re still wondering, mom (41) is on the left. Ava’s father Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon divorced in 2007.

70 year old Susan Sarandon has a 32-year-old daughter named Eva Amurri Martino. The two share similar facial features, especially their nose and eyes!

While she definitely looks a lot like dad Tom Cruise, 11 year old Suri Cruise really takes after her mom Katie Holmes. Katie filed for divorce from Tom in 2012 and Suri has been living with her mom in NYC ever since. Holmes has primary custody of their daughter & Tom reportedly has visitation rights.

Madonna and daughter Lourdes Leon. They both share those fierce eyebrows and those luscious lips! In April, 20-year-old Lourdes was teased by online bullies for having underarm hair. The picture below was taken while she was lounging on the beach with friends. Judging by how strong mama is when it comes to haters, I think Lourdes probably spent less than 5 seconds caring what anyone has to say about her. People can be so cruel.

51 year old former super model Cindy Crawford’s daughter is following in mom’s footsteps. Kaia Gerber is only 15 but she is already the new face of Filipino fashion brand Penshoppe.

Did you know that Liza Minnelli is the daughter of Judy Garland?! The 71 year old’s dad was film director Vincente Minnelli. Garland aka Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz  passed away at the age of 47 from a barbiturate overdose.

Liza remembers her mother being competitive with her:
“It was like Mama suddenly realized I was good, that she didn’t have to apologize for me. It was the strangest feeling. One minute I was on stage with my mother, the next moment I was on stage with Judy Garland. One minute she smiled at me, and the next minute she was like the lioness that owned the stage and suddenly found somebody invading her territory. The killer instinct of a performer had come out in her.”

A young Angelina Jolie looking so much like her daughter Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt. Shiloh turns 11 on May 27th and since she was a toddler, people have been speculating whether or not she is transgender.

Jolie told Vanity Fair in 2010:
“Shiloh, we feel, has Montenegro style. It’s how people dress there. She likes tracksuits, she likes [regular] suits. So it’s a suit with a tie and a jacket and slacks, or a tracksuit. She likes to dress like a boy. She wants to be a boy. So we had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boys’ everything. She thinks she’s one of the brothers.”

Two years prior, Brad Pitt told Oprah Winfrey:
“[Shiloh] only wants to be called John. John or Peter. So it’s a Peter Pan thing…So we’ve got to call her John. ‘Shi, do you want…’ – ‘John. I’m John.’ And then I’ll say, ‘John, would you like some orange juice?’ And she goes, ‘No!’ So, you know, it’s just that kind of stuff that’s cute to parents and it’s probably really obnoxious to other people”

Those eyes!! Jada-Pinkett-Smith and her daughter Willow look like sisters. That being said, Will’s features are totally apparent in Willow as well. Willow is carving her own career path as a singer and actress. The 17 year old made her acting debut in 2007 in the film I Am Legend

Gwyneth Paltrow was one of the first celebrities to hop on the strange baby-name-bandwagon, calling her daughter “Apple”. Well, it looks like the Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree (insert groan). The 12 year old is absolutely gorgeous, just like mom!

Paltrow has two children with ex-husband and Coldplay singer Chris Martin

Gwyneth looks so much like her mother Blythe Danner, especially in this 1972 photo of Blythe aged 29 in an episode of Columbo. Paltrow shared the photo on Instagram a few years ago with the caption: “Okay. This is weird. #isthatmeormymom,”

The former First Lady has two daughters, Malia and Sasha Obama. Michelle Obama says the girls spent their final days in the White House just being themselves:

“They had a sleepover, because of course on Inauguration Day, because my girls are so normal, they’re like, ‘Well, eight girls are gonna be sleeping here because it’s our last time, and we want pizza and we want nuggets.’ And it’s like, really?”
