Sudbury Police have charged a 34-year old man from Greater Sudbury after a city bus driver was attacked with a knife.

Officers say the man jumped out of a moving taxi cab on Ramsey Lake Road late Sunday night, ran down the street and got on a city bus.

He then attacked the bus driver with a knife, the driver was cut on the forearm and neck and had to be taken to HSN with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Police were in the area and were able to board the bus and arrest the man who still had the knife in his hands.

The suspect has been given five charges including aggravated assault.
