Canada’s oldest outdoor music festival in continuous operation gets underway tomorrow.

The 46th edition brings headliners Buffy Saint-Marie who will start it off on Thursday and then the weekend will see Yukon Blonde Friday, Tribe Called Red Saturday and Whitehorse with Andy Shauf on Sunday.

Executive Director, Max Merrifield is down there right now helping the many volunteers set up in Bell Park,

Merrifield says the there will be 5-6 stages going at once during the day with plenty of programming for the whole family.

He says one show families should check out is the puppet show by Rabbit & Bear Paws.

Merrifield says ticket sales have been going really good and expects a lot of people to head down to Bell Park rain or shine.

Advanced tickets are still available until the gates open.

Tickets are $90 for a full day, $15 dollars for an afternoon and children 14 and under are free.
