West Nipissing Police and OPP are currently surrounding a home in Verner.

Police say a man was being served court papers around 1pm yesterday – when they were forced to retreat to a safe distance.  Early attempts to communicate have been unsuccessful with the situation ongoing.

Highway 64 between Piquette rd and Leclaire Rd is closed and police say there is no concern to the public at this time.
