The local health unit says two Ramsey Lake beaches are not suitable for swimming at this time.

Water samples taken from Bell Grove Beach and Moonlight Beach have come back with higher than acceptable bacteria levels.

Warning signs have been posted and going into the water puts bathers at risk of infections if water gets into ears, eyes, nose or open wounds.

A swimming advisory has been issued and residents should not use the water for recreation at this time, until samples show acceptable bacteria levels.
