The Wolves have traded former number one pick Owen Lalonde to Guelph in exchange for 18-year old defenceman Nolan Makkonen and six draft picks.

Makkonen is from the Soo and joined the Storm in January after spending part of the year with the NOJHL’s Soo Eagles. Lalonde had 12 points in 64 games last season and was a Minus 30.

Sudbury GM Rob Papineau says they’re receiving four 2nd round picks and a couple of 3rd rounders in the deal.

The club hits the ice next Thursday August 31st with the Blue-White game on Saturday afternoon at 2:00.
