OPP have released the name of the victim involved in a fatal crash on Highway 17 in Verner.

The collision happened on September 6th just after midnight when a westbound vehicle crossed the centre line and collided head on with an eastbound transport.

The driver of the vehicle, 32-year old Shawn Cote from West Nipissing was pronounced dead at the scene.

No charges will be laid.
