Sudbury Police say they will be assisting the Office of the Chief Coroner after an 18-month old boy was rushed to hospital on Wednesday and pronounced dead shortly after.

The staff sergeant we spoke with said the boy was rushed to the hospital around 4:15 in the afternoon from a home on Louis Street.

The post-mortem was scheduled for today or early tomorrow and police will not be putting out any further information until that is complete.
