Nickel Belt MPP France Gelinas is calling on all parties to support Bill 33 which would legislate minimum care standards in long-term care facilities.

Gelinas says the “Time To Care” bill would mandate a minimum amount of hands on care for every resident of a long term care facility at four hours per day.

She says people have gotten behind this bill in a way she has never seen before.

Gelinas says it would be a major improvement on the current situation.

The bill will be voted on in second reading Thursday at 3 pm, if majority votes against it will die there.
