Steve Paikin, the host of TVO’s The Agenda was up in Sudbury recently to carry out his duties as Laurentian University’s Chancellor during numerous graduation ceremonies.  The broadcast journalist, author and documentary film-maker took over that position in June of 2013 succeeding Aline Chretien, the wife of former Prime Minister Jean Chretien.

While here, Paikin recorded a number of programs on Northern Ontario and I thought we would share a couple with you here. It’s so great to see the North put in such a positive light from a Southern Ontario based broadcaster who in the past have been known to throw more rocks and bouquets our way.

The first one I want to share is called Breeding Home-Grown Northern Innovation.  Click HERE to see it.

The second video is called A Northern State Of Mind and it looks at the large differences of living in the North versus our Southern Neighbours.  Click HERE to see it

Thanks to TVO and Steve Paikin for allowing us to share these videos with our KiSS 105.3 listeners.
