Relay

By Stew Kernan

The annual Relay for Life is quickly approaching.

The six hour event will be held this Friday at the Laurentian University Track starting at 6 o’clock.

Money raised from Relay for Life helps patients and their families by funding life saving research and clinical trials and providing support and services.

This morning, Deputy Mayor Al Sizer helped kick-off Relay for Life Week with a proclamation and flag raising at Tom Davies Square.

Everyone who takes part has a story…that includes Dana Crispo who is cancer-free after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer last year…she says Relay for Life has been a family affair for years, but it will mean something a little more this year.
