Ontario provincial police have released the identity of the third person killed last week in the crash of a small plane, south of Sudbury.

Police say the third victim is 42-year old Vilma Gumpal, of Sudbury.

The pilot was 64-year-old Leo Arseneau, a well-known Sudbury lawyer, and his wife Mary-Lou, both identified by police last week.

Investigators have said they believe the Piper aircraft experienced engine trouble causing it to crash in a remote area near the French and Pickerel
rivers.

Debris from the aircraft was found in three separate locations.

The Transportation Safety Board is still trying to determine the cause.
