Patrick Moldowan

By Angela Gemmill

The Wildlife Preservation Canada has its new Noah, and the biologist filling those shoes is a graduate of Laurentian University.

Patrick Moldowan was chosen from a field of over 100 candidates to receive the “Canada’s New Noah Scholarship”.

It involves six months of living and conducting research on the island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean (two-thousand kilometres off the southeast coast of Africa).

Moldowan, who has a Masters in Science from LU, will study and conduct field work while working to save endangered species in the island region.
