A 25-year old Chelmsford man faces firearm charges after shooting at a door following a family dispute.

Sudbury Police say the suspicious incident happened early yesterday morning at a home on Vermillion Lake Road.

The man -who was intoxicated and in an emotional state- went to his address following the argument and a short time later fired a single shot through the basement door.

He is charged with Careless Storage of a Firearm, Reckless Discharge of a Firearm and Obstructing a Police Officer.

No one was hurt in the incident.
