Over 80 communities across the country, including here in Sudbury will lower the needle and let the music play.

Tomorrow is Record Store Day which is a celebration of independently owned record stores, and also is a day where a number of artists release vinyl’s.

Owner of Cosmic Dave’s Vinyl Emporium, Mark Browning says vinyl has made a major comeback within the last four years.

Browning says many forms of music have come and gone, but vinyl has stuck, he isn’t sure why but says it has a lot to do with the sound quality.

Record Store Day began in 2007, and is now celebrated in over 20 countries around the world.
