Over 200 people took to the stands at the Gerry McCrory Countryside Sports complex over the weekend to get a look at the Wolves first overall pick David Levin and the rest of the rookie group.

In total 22 skaters hit the ice for the annual orientation camp this weekend, including all 15 from this years draft class.

Levin says he wants to be a leader and make his teammates better.

Levin, who is from Israel and has only been playing ice hockey for three years, was taken first overall in the 2015 OHL Priority Draft from the Don Mills Flyers.

Wolves second round pick Shane Bulitka from the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs, is excited about the prospect of making the team, but knows there will be stiff competition.

President and General Manager of the Sudbury Wolves Blaine Smith liked what he saw this weekend from the Wolves rookies, but now says it’s up to them to make the team.
