While the chair of the Ontario Labour Relations Board says it may be the middle of next week before a ruling is made of the legality of high school teachers strikes, thousands of students remain out of the classroom.

Yesterday, Premier Kathleen Wynne indicated that back to work legislation is possible, but the government won’t act until after the board rules.

Nickel Belt M-P-P France Gelinas says all this waiting is tough on everybody…the students, teachers and the community.

She says the issues have to be addressed as soon as possible so the students can get back into the classroom.

500 high school teachers here in Sudbury and Manitoulin are finishing the fourth week of a strike.
