A message from Peter McKeown, GM , Ontario North, Rogers Radio…..
We’re very sad to announce that our dear friend and KiSS 105.3 Morning Show Co-Host Rich Griffin has passed away.

Rich leaves behind a family that was at the centre of his life, and we can’t even begin to say how sorry we are to Rich’s wife and soul mate Nancy, and their wonderful daughter Zoe. Rich was close to so many people here in Greater Sudbury and across all of Rogers Media, the organization where he has worked for the past 14 years.

We heard early Saturday that Rich had suddenly slipped into a coma. Our hopes for recovery were dashed on Sunday when his wife Nancy Griffin announced on her Facebook page: “It is with profound heartbreak that I must tell you that our Rich Griffin will be leaving us soon. He has suffered a catastrophic brain aneurysm and is currently on life support waiting for the Gift of Life network to complete an assessment for organ donation. Many prayers are going to be answered today…and although they were not ours, God simply could not answer the heartfelt prayers of the many recipient families without the profound loss we are experiencing today. May God bless them all through Rich’s final gifts of life.”

Rich lived his life to help those around him. A well-known face around the city over the years, Rich in his role at KiSS helped dozens of charities raise incredible amounts of money for the betterment of our community. We will all miss the love that he had for life and family, and the joy he brought to those around him.

If you’d like to share any memories of Rich Griffin, you can do so on the KiSS Facebook page, on the Rich and Gary Listen Line at 705-525-7271 or here at KiSSSudbury.com

Rich – we already miss you, and we thank you for the life that you shared with us.
