After recently being told we’re the happiest people in Canada, a new ranking seems like a slap in the face to Sudbury residents who love their community.

According to MoneySense magazine’s annual list of the Best Places to Live in Canada, Sudbury only ranked 81st out of 209 communities across the country for 2015.

Authors of the study used 34 different criteria for the list, including economics, affordability, crime rate, employment and access to health care.

Sudbury had been at number 70 last year.

The Number One best place to live was Boucherville, Quebec, followed by the nation’s capitol, Ottawa at number 2.
