For the fourth time since the beginning of the year, Sudbury’s unemployment rate has increased, meaning even more people were looking for work.

The figures for May were released today by Statistics Canada and show our city’s jobless rate now sits at 7%.

That’s compared to 6.6% in April.

Nationally, the unemployment rate held steady at 6.8%, despite 58,900 jobs added to the Canadian economy.
