1401121578562308527A 12-year-old boy accidentally tripped inside a museum in Taiwan over the weekend, but luckily there was a $1.5 million painting hanging on a nearby wall to break his fall.

Museum officials say the 350-year-old Paolo Porpora oil on canvas, called Flowers, now has a fist-sized gash through it, but the unnamed boy won’t be on the hook for its restoration costs.

“The painting’s bottom right is damaged,“ exhibition organizer Sun Chi-hsuan told reporters. “The boy’s hand made contact with the artwork and left a hole the size of a fist.“ Don’t worry, kid: Someday this will make an amazing story.
