WOW. It is always great to see involved attentive parents, and today was a wonderful example of lots of parents who care.  Shannon found an article about a doctor who says kissing your kids on the lips can be stimulating — and potentially confusing.   The statements were made by Dr. Charlotte Reznick is a child and educational Psychologist.

I knew her statements would not sit well with parents, but I was blown away by the response.  What impressed me the most was how vehemently KiSS parents defended their positive relationships with their kids and state the how proud they are to still have  an affectionate relationship with their parents.  It was wonderful to see and here things like “I still kiss my kids, and their in college” and “I kiss my kids and I’m a grandparent”.  Wonderful.

As a parent, I think we need to build a future filled with better people and if we want those better people, we all need to be better parents.

As a Dad I hope my kids will always greet me with a hug and a kiss.  It’s the best part of any day.

thanks for all the FB comments
