For the past three decades teenagers from St Charles College have helped fill the shelves at the Sudbury Food Bank.

The students in Grades Seven through Twelve wrapped up their Stuff-the-Bus Food Drive today raising over 125,000 cans.

That’s a new record for the school throughout the 30-years the campaign has been going on.

Grade 12 student Olivia Greco says the students spent five days collecting both food and monetary donations around the community, including going door-to-door.

President of the Sudbury Food Bank Board of Directors, Greg Fontaine, is thrilled these teens are so eager to help others in need.

He says it’s great to get kids this age involved in work which helps betters the Sudbury community.

The Sudbury Food Bank helps 17,000 people every month, 47% of those are children.
