A truck that fell off a barge last week in the Killarney Channel still remains under water and likely won’t be pulled up until tomorrow -at the earliest.

The Canadian Coast Guard says the dump truck remains on its side and any potential environmental contaminants are either being monitored or collected through special vacuums.

A tug, barge and crane have come from Windsor to help lift the vehicle out of the water.

The Coast Guard hopes to do that Thursday, however weather or other conditions may delay that plan.

A leaking fuel line was repaired last week so it couldn’t cause more contamination to marine-aquatic life.
