Recovery crews worked throughout the day yesterday and now there is no longer a dump truck at the bottom of Killarney Channel.

It was December 8th when the vehicle slipped off a barge and landed on its side under water.

Divers set up the rigging and then with the help of a tug and a barge with a crane attached, the truck was hoisted out of the water.

The team ran out of daylight, so they’ll be offloaded the vehicle from the barge today in Killarney.

The Canadian Coast Guard was the lead agency in the effort.
