Bad Roads

By Angela Gemmill

Slow down and drive according to road conditions.

That’s the message Greater Sudbury Police send out every time there is bad weather.

They’ve issued that message again today.

There is a layer of ice underneath the new snow and that has left roads slippery with black ice in some spots.

Road conditions likely will deteriorate as the temperature drops and traffic increases.

Police also remind drivers to clear off the ice and snow from vehicle before traveling.

You’ll need to give yourself extra time to scrap the mess off vehicle windows.

To add to the winter stress, a winter storm is tracking towards our region, with a new dumping of snow beginning late Tuesday night and continuing into Wednesday.
