Food banks are looking for ways to deal with the rising cost of food.

Fruits and vegetables have gone through the roof and even some meats that were still affordable, like pork, have gone up.

Executive Director at the Sudbury Food Bank Dan Xilon says the hope they can weather the storm until the local growing season arrives.

Xilon says rising food prices are having an effect on donations and are also forcing more people to rely on food banks.
