Drug Chase Arrest

Greater Sudbury Police have a 20-year old in custody on drug and driving related charges after a short chase in the Hammer area.

Around 11:30 pm on Saturday, officers attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding on Dominion Drive but the driver got away forcing a number of cars off the road while driving in the oncoming lane.

Police were able to later locate the car at a housing complex, the suspect had fled on foot but officers where able to locate him after a brief chase in the snow.

Police found a cocaine and methamphetamine pills as well as some cash.

Legace’s Arrest

Greater Sudbury Police say they have two females, a 19-year old and 16-year old, in custody after attempted robbery at Legace Confectionary on Notre Dame.

On Friday a female entered the store and demanded money with what appeared to be a real handgun, but she got spooked before getting any money.

The investigation led police to arrest the two females late Saturday night and the two now face robbery and other charges.
