At 18 metres long, with jaws that could eat the Big Nickel in three bites the Megalodon is coming to Dynamic Earth

“Megalodon:The Largest Shark That Ever Lived” is an exhibit on loan from the Florida Museum of Natural History and is making a stop in Canada for the first time.

Senior Manager of Dynamic Earth, Julie Moskalyk says it’s a good chance for the younger generation to learn about sharks and extinction.

One of the creators of the exhibit, George Burgess hopes people take away perspective on sharks and Megalodon.

We asked him if one of these sharks could still be out there and he said sure one could, and there could be aliens in Walmart as well, so we’ll take that as a no.

The exhibit featuring a full size Megalodon sculpture will open at Dynamic Earth Saturday and run through to September.
