A woman named Christine Loughead walked into an Ontario grocery store and walked out with a lobster. Christine didn’t buy this lobster for dinner. Instead, she had seen the lonely lobster alone in the tank and decided to spend $20 on the little guy to save it’s life. Once removing the lobster from the tank, Christine didn’t know how she was going to get the lobster back into the Atlantic Ocean, so she asked for some help online. She eventually discovered a UPS in Winnipeg that ships live animals. Christine’s initial purchase of $20 to save the lobster’s life, rose to $160 – – for the drive to to Winnipeg and an additional $220 to send it to her online Halifax friend named Beth, who put “Joe the Lobster” back into the Atlantic Ocean.
