Greater Sudbury Police received some help catching a distracted driver.

A driver of a large commercial vehicle informed officers that one person was texting and driving.

Officers say the truck driver had a vantage point that allowed him to witness the offence and provide specific details.

The driver of the car was stopped and charged with driving while holding a hand-held communication device which comes with a 490 dollar fine.

It also comes with three demerit points.
