Serre Holds Roundtable Meeting On Gogama Train Derailment

Nickel Belt MP Marc Serre held a gathering of CN Executives, local stakeholders and all levels of government to share their perspectives of the cleanup of Gogama after a train derailment in March 2015.

Serre says the meeting was productive and CN is listening.

He says CN will report back to the people sometime in the near future.

Nickel Belt MPP France Gelinas says the people of Mattagami First Nation and Gogama were promised clean water and the natural environment would be brought back to what is was before the derailment and the spill of one million litres of oil into the Makami River.

She is calling on the government to order CN to continue the cleanup.
