A fraud investigation has led to charges against a Personal Support Worker in Sudbury.

Greater Sudbury Police say over the past two months they received complaints from an elderly male that his credit cards were stolen and $1,600 in purchases were made.

Officers determined a female PSW hired to care for the male by his wife was the one responsible and that she also used a forged police background check to gain employment.

The PSW was handed 23 fraud related charges.
