garbage

By: Nick Liard

If tomorrow is your garbage collection day, just remember you can only put out two bags of trash.

The city has switched from three bags down to two and Ward 7 Councillor Mike Jakubo says it’s because of aging landfill sites and step in the right direction to help the environment.

The limit changed as of Monday.

Collection remains the same for recycling and green bins and information on the city’s website will go over what can go into those bins to reduce garbage amounts.

There is also information on special exemptions for the bag limit, like young families.
