Greater Sudbury Police officers have a busy week ahead of them as Crime Prevention Week is recognized across the province.

Officers will take part in a number of community events like a Crime Prevention Q and A on Facebook live, lock it or lose it campaign and a Tweet Along on Thursday.

Chief Paul Pedersen says crime prevention covers a lot of ground and is the root of community safety.

Pedersen says there are a number of events held through the week, but the most important are those that get youth involved.

This year’s theme is Planning Together for Safer Communities.
