Blow Torch On A Frozen Pipe Caused West End Fire

Greater Sudbury Fire Services say a homeowner trying to unthaw a frozen pipe led to a fire on Willard Avenue.

Fire services say around 10:30 this morning, a homeowner attempted to used a blow torch on a frozen pipe which led to the fire.

It led to an estimated 200 thousand dollars in damages.

Nobody from the house was injured but a firefighter suffered minor injuries.
