Joe Roberts went from being homeless and living under a bridge in 1989 to the cover of Canadian Business as a celebrated entrepreneur.

He now has taken the next step in his journey on The Push For Change Campaign where he is pushing a shopping cart, a symbol of chronic homelessness, across the country.

Roberts says in each community they try to help young people break down barriers and hopes the the campaign has a long lasting effect in Canada.

He says homelessness should be treated in the health care system just like you would heart disease or diabetes.

Roberts pushes a shopping cart 24 KM a day and January 2nd marked the halfway point of over 45 hundred km travelled.

He is currently in his home town of Midland and will be in Sudbury on January 16th.
