A new report by the Canadian Institute for Health Information shows Canada has the longest wait times for medical attention in emergency rooms among 11 industrialized countries.

The report found 26 per cent of Canadians wait four hours or longer in the E-R to see a doctor — which is nearly three times the international average.

However, about three-quarters of Canadians rated the quality of care as very good or excellent, which is significantly higher than the other countries in the study.
