Greater Sudbury Police have released more information about a stabbing that sent a 32-year old man to hospital over the weekend.

Officers say the incident happened around 5:30 am on Saturday in the parking lot of 675 Bruce Street.

With help from the public a Grey Ford Expedition, that was used to take the victim to the hospital, was found and is now evidence.

The man remains in hospital in critical but stable condition and police are asking anyone who was in the area that may have witnessed something to come forward.

The stabbing is believed to be an isolated incident and not a random act.
