No love for the community of Alban as they were left off a new exit sign on Highway 69.

Nickel Belt MPP France Gelinas says before the four-laning drivers would see a directional sign that said Alban was only three km off the highway and believes the province’s highway signs policy discriminates against small Northern communities like Alban.

Gelinas says now the sign only features Noelville, 30 km away, and Sturgeon Falls which is even further and motorists travelling on Highway 69 deserve a proper directional sign directing them to Alban.

Gelinas says businesses, forestry, restaurants, grocery stores and lodging are all losing money.
